Fireworks With A Full Moon Eclipse in Capricorn
This weekend on Saturday night (9:44pm PDT) or early Sunday (12:44am EDT), depending on where you reside, a lunar eclipse in the sign of Capricorn takes place making this a supercharged full Moon. Amplifying the full Moon’s power, emotions might run high as unexpected things occur. This eclipse is the end of a cycle that began two years ago in July of 2018. It is a time to remember that nothing is quite as it seems and to look below the surface. Eclipses often bring unexpected messages and events, seemingly occurring out of the blue. Lunar eclipses tend to be associated with endings, are more emotional, and ultimately focused on creating change from within.
Though they are infamous for “eclipsing something out” most of the time endings will not happen immediately, they are more a preview of what develops over the course of the next six months. A lunar eclipse is a time to let go of what is no longer serving you. And keep in mind that though they end something, they also mark the beginning of something new as well.

Though the overall interaction between the planets is fairly friendly for this eclipse the bulk of the planets, including this eclipse’s ruler Saturn, are still moving in retrograde motion urging us all to slow down and take a deep breath. As much as we might be yearning to move full steam ahead, everything has a cycle and it things won’t really begin to move until both Saturn and Jupiter begins to move forward again in September, though there will be some relief on July 12 when Mercury goes direct.
Mercury and Jupiter are both strongly involved with this eclipse, with Mercury making a friendly aspect to Uranus suggesting the possibility of unexpected good news. However, the Sun and Moon are in a tough angle to Mars cautioning us to get more information before we take action. The involvement of Jupiter, Neptune and Pluto add to the sense that all is not what it seems.
In the sign of Capricorn we are being asked to look at our boundaries, take responsibility and ownership.
